Pregnancy Journal: 20 Weeks

Half way there!  I cannot believe that.  Kind of scary actually…

Due date: April 29, 2012 (we are going with this as the “official” due date now)
How far along: 20 weeks
Size of baby: A coconut
Weight gain: 6 pounds over my starting weight
Maternity clothes: Oh yeah.  Need maternity for pants and most tops.  Can still wear a lot of my “blousy” dresses and tops.  I’m a little embarrassed at the gym as my workout tops pop up over my belly button.  Where can you get good maternity workout clothes??
Movement: Yes!  Lots of twisting, turning and flipping, and some kicks and jabs.  It’s the best, most amazing thing in the world.  Matt even got to feel a few.  He/she is most active in the car and when I get in bed at night.
Sleep: Pretty good! Still having really bizarre dreams.
Cravings: Appetite is good, but I get full pretty quickly.  Cravings change daily, and dinner is usually very random, depending on what I’m in the mood for. Still loving Panera’s black bean soup, Tazikis’ veggie gyro, tuna fish sandwiches, sushi (ccoked), pasta, veggie pizza, salads, mixed nuts, peanut butter sandwiches, Clif bars, fruits and veggies.
Aversions: Not really anything in particular. Sweets in general aren’t very appealing…at least not like usual.  I did come home with one of those Snicker’s ice cream bars the other night and it was delish:)
Symptoms: The occasional headache and some lightheadedness.
What I miss: Maybe being able to have a glass of wine or a martini at dinner….
What I’m looking forward to: Our gender reveal party this weekend!  Can’t wait to find out if we will be having a little princess or a little prince!
Best moment of the week: These past 2 weeks have been so exciting!  Loved feeling Baby Mac for the first time.  Then going to our 20 week appointment and getting some new pics was so exciting.  It was also such a blessing to hear that the peanut looks perfectly healthy.
Thoughts on pregnancy: All I can think about right now is whether this baby is a boy or girl.  I’m about to die with this sealed envelope sitting in my purse.  It’s going to be so exciting to share the big reveal with family and friends this weekend!
Here’s Baby Mac from our appointment this week…

And here’s my latest bump picture…

  1. I love your pregnancy updates Leanne! I loved being pregnant with both of my girls. But since we are done having kids, it's fun to follow other mamas!
