Did everyone have a nice Easter weekend? In between packing and moving stuff to the new house we were able to enjoy some fun activities and attend a beautiful service at church yesterday morning AND spend time with dear friends. I was thankful to take a break from the craziness and celebrate our risen Saviour and He definitely blessed with a beautiful, bright and sunny weekend.
We started off the weekend on Saturday morning with the Heart of Dixie Railroad Cottontail Express for an egg hunt and visit to the Easter Bunny. #toddlerAW was not too interested in the egg hunt and he never really warmed up to the Easter Bunny. What he did like was the train ride and the pinwheels that were sticking up all over the place. And the container of vanilla wafers I bribed him with so he would sit with the Easter Bunny for the obligatory picture. You win some you lose some when you have a toddler, but it was a gorgeous morning and we enjoyed being outside for some family time.
Sunday morning we were up bright and early to see what the other Easter Bunny brought. Asher Wade was so excited when he came out of his room and saw his basket full of goodies. He had all kinds of candy and treats, toys and a stuffed bunny, but he most enjoyed the plastic plate with Jake and the Neverland Pirates on it. I know everyone is shocked. He carried it around all day.
We headed to the 8 a.m. service at Highlands and it was amazing as always. Afterwards we had our annual brunch with the Miller’s.
