We spent a few days in Gatlinburg this past weekend and it was fabulous! We had been itching to take a little fall vacation to check out the fall colors and it worked out pretty well that Gatlinburg was only a 2 hour drive from Chattanooga. We headed out Friday afternoon and enjoyed an extended weekend in the Smokies. We rented a great cabin off VRBO that was about a 10 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg…so still “away from it all” while being close to plenty of activities for Asher Wade. Downtown Gatlinburg goes all out for Halloween. It was decorated and super festive and the stores all participate in trick or treating. AW had a ball! Besides the Halloween festivities, we mainly just relaxed in our cozy cabin, soaked in the hot tub and explored outside, although we did check out Ripley’s Aquarium and Apple Barn and had breakfast one morning at the famous Pancake Pantry. It was a nice, relaxing few days with my little family, and as always, I am thankful for these special times we have together.
A little bit of picture overload, but there were too many to pick from!
