After a 12-day vacation, you could say I struggled with some motivation to get back to my exercise routine this past week. Although I did workout most days of the trip, I guess it wasn’t enough to counteract the amount of food I consumed (and extra cocktails I drank) because when I weighed myself upon coming home, I discovered I had gained 4 pounds. Yikes. On my body, 4 pounds makes a difference. This obviously goes to show just how much diet plays a part. I was super active the majority of our trip…even if I didn’t actually do a formal workout at the gym or something, we were on the go just about every day, so I honestly thought I may lose weight on the trip when all was said and done. I guess the increase in activity wasn’t enough to make up for the extra calories consumed. Totally worth it though, because we had some good food for sure! Anyways, I tried to eat relatively clean this past week and I worked out every day in the hopes of taking off these vacation pounds.
