After a little bit of an off-week last week, I was back in the saddle this week! That’s what I love about having a consistent healthy lifestyle (ie. no diets or quick fixes)….when you detour and slack off a little, it’s always easy to jump right back into your healthy habits. Once you’ve established those habits, they are so much easier to stick with, and in the event you weer off a little, it’s much easier to get back on track.
Stats from this past week:
Monday 6/20: 60 minute Orangetheory Fitness class. Y’all, this one kicked my booty. It’s “Peak Performance” week, which means there is a different challenge each day of the week. Today was a 500 meter rowing challenge. I definitely have a love hate relationship with the rower….I despise it because it’s very challenging for me, but I also love how it challenges me, and works every muscle in my body. Never tried a row machine? I highly recommend you give it a whirl for a very effective, full body workout.
Tuesday 6/21: 45 minute cardio session split between the treadmill and elliptical (15 minutes running on the treadmill at 6.0 mph, 15 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes uphill walking on the treadmill at a 12% incline)
Wednesday 6/22: 30 minute HIIT class (high intensity interval training), 15 minutes on the treadmill (6.0 mph) and 20 minutes of yoga and core exercises
Thursday 6/23: 20 minutes on the treadmill (5.8 mph) and a 45 minute Total Body Training class (all strength training using primarily free weights)
Friday 6/24: 60 minute power walk outside
Saturday 6/25: 60 minute Orangetheory Fitness class
Sunday 6/26: 40 minute walk around the neighborhood and some yard work
Hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to kick off a new week! Just a few days left in June, so make them count!
