Motivation Monday

I’m still somewhat recovering from the half marathon last weekend. I probably should have taken more time off, other than just the day after, but I honestly felt OK by Monday and decided to hop on the treadmill. I’ve had to keep my workouts indoors because it’s been SO SMOKY outside due to the wild fires affecting many parts of TN, particularly Chattanooga. We are definitely praying for rain here in Tennessee. The fire situation is no joke. We need rain desperately. It was a lot better over the weekend and I was able to head outside, but otherwise it’s been Orangetheory and treadmill running.

Stats from this past week:

Monday 11/14: Ran 4 miles (6.0 mph) on the treadmill

Tuesday 11/15: Ran 4 miles outside along the river with a running buddy

Wednesday 11/16: 60 minute Orangetheory Fitness class…we did a run-to-row format this day and oh my word, it kicked my butt!

Thursday 11/17: Ran 4 miles outside along the river with a running buddy…was supposed to be a longer run, but the smoke was starting to get to us.

Friday 11/18: 15 minutes on the treadmill (6.4 mph) and a 45 minute Sports Drill class…hadn’t done a class in FOREVER and it was fun to get back to one

Saturday 11/19: Was busy running errands all day, but I managed to sneak in a 30 minute run around the neighborhood. Those 3 miles felt like 6 given the crazy winds!

Sunday 11/20: Ran 6 COLD miles along the river

I have a recently discovered a new snack find to share! Protein doughnuts! Umm, say what?! 150 calories, 5 grams of fat and 12 grams of protein packed in these bad boys. There are tons of flavor combinations. I bought the variety pack and so far have loved all of them.
