Sarasota trip and catching up

I don’t know where the last 2 weeks have gone, or really where March went in general, but I know it’s been busy and we’ve been on the go which feels like nonstop. I took Asher Wade down to Sarasota for the first half of his spring break and it was so nice to relax a little and get away from the cold. We enjoyed spending time with family, the beach, the county fair, some shopping, parks and playgrounds and just being outside in general. The sleeping-in was pretty nice as well, and I think poor AW is in for a shock come Monday morning when those early wake-up calls start again. Oh, and I completed that half marathon! It was definitely a struggle, and I’ve decided I’m done with long runs for the remainder of this pregnancy, but I’m so proud of myself for doing it. I’ll write more about it in Monday’s “Motivation Monday” post. Overall, it was a great trip, other than missing Matt, who was back in Chattanooga working and getting a lot done around the house. Asher Wade’s new room is completely done and it looks amazing. Matt also got started on the nursery and it’s coming along as well. I couldn’t believe all the progress when I got home. We had some construction projects completed as well, including the conversion of a laundry room into a walk-in closet for AW’s new room, and then a small office into a new laundry room/mudroom, so that was another big change. We also had some window treatments and new light fixtures hung, TV’s mounted, AND ship lap was hung in the new nursery to create a beautiful accent wall. I LOVE how it’s turning out and will definitely be sharing some pictures soon. And I know I’m totally overdue with posting a pregnancy update, but I have a doctor’s appointment on Monday so I’ll do one after that.

For now, here are a few pictures from Sarasota…
